A Sonic Self-Portrait in LA by Beatie Wolfe

“Musical Weirdo and Visionary” (Vice) Beatie Wolfe presents her highly acclaimed and ever-expanding museum installation imPRINTING.me (currently in the Boston Museum of Science) as a special ‘one off’ distillation of life in LA. This sonic self portrait weaves together cornerstone conversations and collaborations with the city’s brightest lights including NASA engineers, NOAA oceanographers, DEVO’s Mark Mothersbaugh, songwriter Allee Willis, comedian Fred Armisen with the tapestries of new music made with Brian Eno from recent albums Lateral, Luminal and Liminal along with other imprints and textures unique to LA. This piece draws on Beatie Wolfe's groundbreaking music and dementia research work and shows us how we can gain a greater understanding of ourselves and of one another in the process.

Featuring in this internal journey includes… Aaron Rose, Allee Willis, Brian Eno, Henry Rollins, Laraaji, Sarah Finn, Linda Perry, Mark Mothersbaugh, Money Mark, Rick Carter, Shirley Mason and Beatie Wolfe
