Orange Juice for the Ears - LA Private Screening with Variety's James Patrick Herman

Second Home Hollywood presents Orange Juice for the Ears, the Barbican commissioned documentary on Beatie Wolfe as part of an experiential evening of film, art and conversation

Second Home Hollywood hosted a private screening of Orange Juice for the Ears, the Barbican commissioned documentary on the work of musical weirdo and visionary Beatie Wolfe directed by Ross Harris. The night featured a live performance & conversation moderated by Variety’s James Patrick Herman, recorded direct to vinyl by Phonocut; new work from Beatie including a quadraphonic installation with “the Brian Eno of laughter” Laraaji and an environmental protest piece in collaboration with The Mill. This event was kindly produced by Bedrock.la and supported by dublab radio and featured DJ sets from DJ Molly Rich.

Fad Magazine managed to track down artist Beatie Wolfe in Los Angeles to ask her some questions about now and the future.

Beatie Wolfe is an artist who has beamed her music into space, been appointed a UN Women role model for innovation and held an acclaimed solo exhibition of her ‘world first’ album designs at the V&A Museum and is the subject of an up & coming new music documentary commissioned by the Barbican Centre. We managed to track her down in Los Angeles to ask her some questions about now and the future.

Europe's largest art centre, The Barbican, commissioned a documentary on pioneering musician Beatie Wolfe that will be premiered at the Barbican cinema before heading to the US. Titled “Beatie Wolfe: Orange Juice for the Ears - From Space Beams to Anti-Streams” this documentary is part of the Barbican's 'Life Rewired' a season exploring what it means to be human in the digital age.
